The Dividing Line (The Space Between #2)

Blurb

A new love and a new life.

Drake left Chicago with little more than the clothes on his back to be with his girlfriend Lacey. Though he has no regrets, he sometimes wonders if his time spent in Paris has put his life on hold. He’s overworked and underpaid at his dead-end job, and his employer sees him as expendable. His bright light at the end of the day is Lacey, but he finds himself slowly falling into the shadow of her newly-acquired fame. The city of love has found their new starlet in Lacey, but Drake is simply the man by her side.
With all good things there comes a price.

Lacey has been living the dream. She arrived in Paris with nothing but heartache and loss. Now, she’s the rising star of the city’s newest opera and dating the man of her dreams. When her performance contract is extended, she must decide if her new life of glitz and glam is what’s best for a future with the man she loves—or if it’s just what’s best for her.

Paris brought Drake and Lacey together. But when their hopes for the future begin taking them in different directions, they must a find common ground or risk a line dividing them that may prove to be insurmountable.

The Dividing Line is the sequel to the new adult multicultural romance The Space Between.

Excerpt

When I got back inside the car, Lacey had removed her oversized t-shirt and shorts, and my mind went completely blank. Her cheeks flushed, she lay there on the seat in a black, one-piece strip of lace. The thing was completely sheer, exposing her supple breasts, her dark beaded nipples… The barbells pierced in them caught the dim lighting in the car, the sparkle of her bellybutton ring doing the same on her flat stomach.
I didn’t need to glance down to know my boxers were tented at the moment, and I only got harder as I took in the rest of her. The lace went down her stomach in a T shape, flaring out in lace trim over her wide, sexy hips. The whole sight of her got me going like nothing else, but it was that dark spot between her thighs, that single wet patch on her outfit, that undid me completely.
I headed there first.
Grabbing her thighs, I slid her across the seat to me and parted her legs. I pushed her lace to the side, and the sight of her glistening lips rumbled a moan deep within my chest. The smell of her arousal hit me hard, causing my mouth to water, and I couldn’t wait any longer to have this woman in my mouth.
She braced my shoulders when I dipped my head.
“Oh, no, Drake. I’ll come too quick if you do that,” she panted.

I simply grinned, bringing her leg over my shoulder. “Then I guess I’ll have to make you come over and over,” I said before burying my face between her legs.
