Amber's Review

I would just like to open with the fact that I normally do not read holiday books, but given that it IS the holiday season, I gave it a chance. To be completely honest, I really enjoyed this book and would definitely read another like it.

In this book, a female tv producer, Sophia, is in search of a new angle for a new reality tv show. When her team suggests a spin on people who are obsessed with their hobbies, she jumps on the idea, not expecting that Will (aka Mr. Christmas) would be good looking and charming. She does everything she can for her team to portray Will in a positive light, especially after his crazy neighbor kicks Will’s dog (almost killing the dog) and sets some of his decorations on fire. When Sophia finds out that her team doesn’t respect her wishes and makes Will look bad, she quits her job, in hopes that Will will talk to her again. In the end, Sophia writes Will a letter that brought tears to my eyes. It was so incredibly sweet. She poured her heart and soul into that letter.

This book had me lost in Sophia’s world right from the start. I could relate to her need to succeed, but could feel her frustration when her team doesn’t cooperate with her. I understand her want to be loved and the urgency she feels when she is trying to protect Will.

Overall, I would rate this book as an A on the Nerd Alert Book Love Book Review Scale. If you are looking for a great holiday read, this one is a keeper!
