Room For just a little bit More by Beth Ehemann

Release Date:

August 11th

Synopsis:

Five years ago, my dreams were shattered in an instant.

One year ago, a horrible rainstorm flooded a bridge in town, leaving us with an Inn full of stranded travelers. Turns out one of those travelers would give me a whole new set of dreams, ones I never thought possible. Brody Murphy spent the last year teaching me what it was like to live, and more importantly love, again.
Two days ago, he asked me to marry him, and if I’d said yes any faster, I would have interrupted the most romantic proposal ever offered. I can’t wait to marry him and spend the rest of our lives spoiling our Twinkies.
One year from now I’ll be Mrs. Kacie Murphy, assuming everything goes nice and smooth.

 Lora's Review

Oh my gosh!! I am such a wreck after this book….in only the best way!!! I have loved Brody since he was standing in the rain in front of the Cranberry Inn in the first book, Room For You. He is so sexy and he is so sweet. He’s an athlete (which is usually a turn off for me) and he’s a stand up guy.

Kacie is a strong heroine, not one that you want to strangle. She stands up for what she believes in. She’s worked hard to get to where she is and she is a wonderful mom to her twin daughters Piper & Lucy who Brody lovingly refers to as “the Twinkies.”

The Twinkies….oh, don’t even get me started on them! They are so cute!!

Ms. Ehemann picks this story up immediately after the engagement and Kacie and Brody once again take turns sharing their POVs. I love how both the characters share with us, ,the readers, so we can really feel everything there is to be felt in this story!

It’s so hard for me to write this review without going page by page and telling you why I really, really loved it. One of my favorite scenes early in the book is when Kacie and Brody tell the girls they are getting married. Brody uses a Cinderella reference and the girls assume they are going to live in a castle. It’s so cute and I love how Kacie just lets it go, and yet she knows that Brody won’t just let it go.

Kacie and Brody both have a couple of moments of insecurity in the book, but like always, Brody says just the right thing to make all the “badness” go away. When Viper questions whether Brody is really ready to settle down, he responds immediately with: “I’m more than ready.” I sat up, looking him straight in the eye. “I want to marry that girl today, before she realizes she can do way better than me and changes her mind.” And in a rare moment of almost being human, Viper says that Brody is really deserving of Kacie and the relationship he’s in.   (((This with Viper makes me even more eager to read his book which Ms. Ehemann plans to release soon, too.)))

Their adventure to the wedding is so sweet and totally in style with Ms. Ehemann’s writing style. I love reading all about this little family, and this book really took me on the journey with them! I have read many books with weddings, but this one had tears running unchecked down my face. Brody doesn’t disappoint in the romance department and Kacie gives him the best wedding presents imaginable.

There were moments when I was laughing out loud until my side was aching. Then, I’d turn the page and my eyes would tear up with happy tears. This book really was the best one I’ve read in 2014!! I am not typically a crier and I seldom get emotional while reading, but Ms. Ehemann had me on an emotional roller coaster that I can’t wait to go on again!!

I give Room For just a little bit More FIVE stars out of 5. She did an excellent job of bringing Brody and Kacie back to the front of my mind. (And if I weren’t sure that there is no way that Brody would leave Kacie, I would almost divorce my husband.)

Room For You:

Four years ago, my dreams were shattered in an instant.

I tried to pick up the pieces and glue them back together the best I knew how, but something was always missing.

A father for my two girls.

But then, Brody Murphy landed on my doorstep, literally. He was a carefree, playful hockey player who barged into my life and messed with my head. He left me more confused than I had ever been.

What if the one thing I thought I needed was the only thing holding me back?

Three months ago, I found something I haven’t had in years.

That hope came in the form of a sexy, carefree hockey player named Brody Murphy. He swooped in and won me over with his big heart and the way he cared for me…and my girls. When they look at him, they see the father they’ve never had.
Now, my past and present are colliding and the outcome might just be too much for me to bear. Can I make the right decision when I’ve spent my whole life making the wrong ones?

"...Ok, I get it. You're not Mr. Customer Service.  Can I check in? I've had a really terrible day, and I could use a hot shower and something to eat..."
Palm Palace is a hot mess. Grey is working hard to try to fix it up and get it ready for the second half of spring break tourists. Eden is trying to pull herself up and do some soul searching but finds herself constantly distracted by a hot handyman.
"...This is so messed up, Grey. I hurt you and you hurt me. For the last few weeks, we've just been drifting in our own worlds, mad and broken..."
Can Grey get the Palm Palace up and running before his reservations start checking in? Can Eden find her own happiness and heal after her break up? And what will happen when she returns to North Carolina after spring break is over?
TA Foster knows how to write a sweet and compelling romance novel. Her characters are wonderful and draw you right in to their stories.  I really enjoyed this book and the smiles and laughs that it give me. I gladly give this book a Nerd Alert A+ or 5 stars!

Trailer Park Princess

Add to GR

Amazon

Rory used to count down the days until she could leave, but now with a younger brother in tow, it would be hard. She could never leave him. Rory is trapped in the Trailer Park like a princess in her tower, with her mother playing the big bad, drunken, fire-breathing dragon.  The dream of her knight coming to save her faded away about the same time her goals changed. Feeling useless, and angry Rory starts her new school and gets trampled by none other than the Monroe Falls Golden Boy, Tobias West. She finds herself seeing him as the knight she dreamed  of; though, she believes it to be just that, a dream.

Tobias (Toby) is Mr.  Popular/ Mr. Perfect/ Mr. Money-in-the-bank. He is too high on the social ladder  to step down to her level. Or is he?  Toby is smitten with Rory. Toby’s ex, Ashley, refuses to lose out to trailer park  trash, and Rory finds herself the fuel to Ashley’s newfound hate. On top of  Monroe Falls High School drama, Rory still has to deal with her drunken mother  and needy brother. She doesn’t have time for childish games.

Reality hits Rory  hard when her mother brings home a ticking time bomb for a bed mate and the need for that shiny knight becomes real.  Rome appears like she conjured him out of thin air with magical powers, and instantly becomes her best friend. He seems to always be around when she needs someone to talk to and seems to always know just how to fix it. (Did I mention he is drop dead beautiful?) Two knights in shining armor? Nope!! That doesn’t happen. Not in fairy tales, and definitely not in real life.
Rory finds herself realizing there is a thin line between relationships and friendships, lines that are starting to blur. With Toby getting ready to leave for college, Ashley’s nonstop meanness, and Rome showing up, can Rory handle the pressure? Her old friend reality takes another whack at her, causing her dread and despair to take over. Rory is questioning herself, and it's wreaking havoc on the strong girl she’s always considered herself to be. Have her poor choices doomed her to life in the trailer park, or will she be able to exceed even her own expectations?  Will she ever realize she is truly a princess worthy of getting her prince? Or will she simply survive? How does Rory’s story end?

This book is suited best for readers over the age of 17 due to sexual content and some language, as well as a few different types of abuse that are rarely talked about: Verbal, Mental, and to some extent, Sexual and Physical.

“So, Princess, you gave away the golden key to the court jester, huh?” He lets out a sad, pitiful laugh and looks up at me. I swear I see his eyes water up. Taking our cups, I head into the living room and slide down beside him.
“Yes. Prom night.” I feel about a foot tall. “It was the most horrible thing ever. I mean I really hated it.” He puts his hand on my knee.
“You can tell me if you want. I may not like it, but you can always tell me. You’re my best friend, and I want to be here for you.” I lay my hand over his.
“Trust me, Rome, you would likely be ready to beat his ass again afterwards, so let’s just not.” We stay like that a while, and I think he’s letting it go.
“Ok, you don’t have to tell me, but I still need to know it wasn’t forced. He didn’t force you, did he?” I shake my head no, but I never look at him. He stands up, and I can see him flexing his fist.
“I’ll be back in a few. Gonna grab the boys from Mrs. Crazy and bring them here. They can crash in there with Mr. Drunkard tonight. Mando will be here in a few, and she’s bringing over bowling and her Wii.” He smiles and walks out the door.

I am happily married to the love of my life, and we have two wild and crazy kids. I do have a dog, but I am not a fan of him AT ALL. That little wiener isn’t good for anything except yapping. I am more of a ferret kind of girl. I have a full-time job and a part-time job outside of writing. My words are more of a hobby for me. I enjoy writing, and it calms the voices in my head. My highest education comes from a Job-corp Facility and my major was NOT English. I was more about learning to rebuild cars back then. All of my books have meaning, and it usually revolves around accepting people for who they are, not who you want them to be. I usually write about strong females, with a supportive Adonis on the side! If I had to pick five words to describe me, they would be in no order: honest, loud, eclectic, extreme, and obsessive. I believe we should all live like we are dying, and if we do something stupid, we should write about it!

***I was gifted a copy of the book from the author***

Let me start by saying, when I heard the title, I really thought I was not going to be able to get into this book. I love Indie authors so I decided to give this one a try! I am so glad I did! I felt like I was at the Trailer Park with Rory and Amandolette!

"Rory baby you are a dreamer"
I absolutely love it when authors give a strong heroine. Rory is just that. She takes care of her brother, while her alcoholic mother goes about doing as she pleases. She is in a terrible position, but she makes the best of it and is always looking out for the best interest of her brother. She wishes her life was different but she doesn't whine or complain about the cards she was dealt. With the help of her bestie Amandolette she was able to have somewhat of a social life! Mando was AWESOME! She was the kind of best friend every girls should have!

Toby, the boy of every girl's dreams was such a hunk! I hated his character. He did have his flaws, but who doesn't in high school, but there were times where I was screaming at the guy! At the beginning I cheered for their relationship, but by the end I was done!

Rome, such an awesome guy! I didn't really know how I felt about him, but I quickly became a fan! I don't want to say too much because I don't want to give away the story.

This is a great read and I know everyone would enjoy it. It is a different kind of story that is very refreshing!
This book gets a Certified Nerd Alert Book Love A!

flame event banner Review Blitz kdp
Book Title: Flame Author: Brooke Cumberland Genre: Erotic Romance Hosted by: Book Enthusiast Promotions
Synopsis
Carissa Wright doesn’t do relationships. Raised with a junkie mother and an alcoholic father, building relationships were far off her list. Rather, one night-stands were her usual. Carissa has one constant in her life—her best friend Velaney. Completely opposite of each other, yet they balance each other out. Although Carissa admits to only wanting sex and nothing more, will she allow in the one guy who wants to break down her walls or will she run out of fear of finally letting her guard down? She is unfamiliar with these feelings and wants nothing more than to walk away without a shattered heart. Will she be able to find the courage in order to turn a flame into a long lasting relationship? With walls built up and emotions locked away, can she learn to put her heart on the line? Or will each guy just be another flame? excerpt I’m still blown away by Drew’s sudden attack on my lips. He left without so much as a goodbye or a here’s my number. I don’t know why it bothers me so much, but it does. One moment I’m sad, wondering if I’ll ever see him again, and the next I’m pissed off that yet again, a man has staked their claim on me and then just bailed. Ugh…what the hell is happening to me? I don’t think about guys. I dream of sex. Of multiple orgasms. But I don’t think of guys as anything more than just that—a way to get off. But Drew…yeah, he’s different. He’s a blend of sexy meat layered with a sense of entitlement. He knows he’s hot—he has to know. His muscles are practically popping out of his tight t-shirt. And I’m pretty sure I even saw some ink under those sleeves. Had he given me more than two minutes, my hands would’ve wandered up those arms and felt those muscles. Ugh…dammit. Must get Drew out of my head. “Fuck this shit,” I yell at myself. I waltz back into the bar, searching for him through the crowd that’s gotten rowdier since the next game started. I spot him near the back, laughing with his friends as they continue watching the game. I stalk over, grab him by the arm, and drag him with me into the back hallway. “Feisty little thing, aren’t you?” I let go of his arm once we make it down the hall where it’s quiet. “Fucking hell, you’re strong.” He rubs his arm with his hand. “What the hell was that?” I demand. “I should ask you the same thing, Doll.” He eyes me curiously, not giving away his thoughts. “Do you typically go around kissing girls like that and then bailing? Or am I the exception?” I realize I’m practically yelling at him, demanding answers, but I don’t care. He’s messing with me, and I don’t like it. He thinks for a moment before responding. “I suppose you could be the exception to many things.” He grins, roaming his eyes up and down my body again. I’m dumbstruck and bewildered by him. Fuck it. I grab his face in my hands and force his mouth back on mine. I’m not ready to leave his lips just yet—I need more. He happily reciprocates, wrapping his arms around my waist as he backs me up against the wall behind me. The kiss isn’t sweet and tender like before, but rather needy and aggressive. The intensity is overwhelming, but I give in and let him take control of the kiss. His hands roam down my ass and thighs, lifting my legs up as they wrap around his waist. He pushes hard against me, making me throb in between my legs as I feel his erection against me. Shit, he’s hard. I so desperately want to submit to my knees and take him in my mouth, but I don’t just yet. I’m too mesmerized by his mouth, his taste, that nothing else seems to matter but getting more of him. “Oh my god, Drew…I want you. I want you right now,” I whimper out. There’s no point in beating around the bush. I want him so fucking bad. “What do you want, Doll?” he asks, not parting our lips. “What can I give you?” he asks again softly. Jesus…the sound of his voice is so fucking captivating. Panty-dropping, heartbeat-skipping sexy. “Come home with me. Please.” What the hell…I’m begging now? I don’t beg men. But shit…I’m ready to beg for him. I guess there really is an exception

DEEPER Synopsis:

In this New Adult debut by Robin York, a college student is attacked online and must restore her name—and stay clear of a guy who’s wrong for her, but feels so right.

When Caroline Piasecki’s ex-boyfriend posts their sex pictures on the Internet, it destroys her reputation as a nice college girl. Suddenly her once-promising future doesn’t look so bright. Caroline tries to make the pictures disappear, hoping time will bury her shame. Then a guy she barely knows rises to her defense and punches her ex to the ground.

West Leavitt is the last person Caroline needs in her life. Everyone knows he’s shady. Still, Caroline is drawn to his confidence and swagger—even after promising her dad she’ll keep her distance. On late, sleepless nights, Caroline starts wandering into the bakery where West works.

They hang out, they talk, they listen. Though Caroline and West tell each other they’re “just friends,” their feelings intensify until it becomes impossible to pretend. The more complicated her relationship with West gets, the harder Caroline has to struggle to discover what she wants for herself—and the easier it becomes to find the courage she needs to fight back against the people who would judge her.

When all seems lost, sometimes the only place to go is deeper.

Advance praise for DEEPER:

“The perfect new adult story . . . West will make you swoon!”New York Times bestselling author Monica Murphy

“Beautifully written and full of swoony tender moments, toe-curling chemistry, and delicious, twisty angst . . . Stop whatever you’re doing and read this book.”—Christina Lauren, author of the Beautiful Bastard series

Review

Wendi's Review

This was a well written, witty and funny NA book. This is a story of opposites and what happens when they attract.

Caroline was the girl next door, who will be the next Senator. She is determined and driven. She has no time for parties, college and controversy! Little did she know that she'd be thrown into all of that because of her ex-boyfriend Nate. She is devastated and is trying to pick up the pieces so she can regain a normal life. She also has a secret crush on West...her once dorm mate, and bad news college mistake. Caroline comes from a single father who is trying to show his daughters that they can be anything, by being VERY over protective.

West is the dangerous, neighbor from Freshman year.  I loved West from the beginning! He was dominate and aggressive and every thing you'd want in a male hero! He had me from the Dinty Moore cans and rusty old car.

They both secretly have some sort of feelings that they can't figure out.

The problem with Caroline isn't that I want her The problem is that to help her, want to learn her, and want to fix her, and I can't do that. I can't get caught up with her or she'll distract me and I'll wreck everything.

They were exactly what they didn't need. Caroline had a nude picture issue, Nate had family problems...They needed each other to lean on, but because of their issues they were toxic matches.

I don't want to get into the story too much, because it would give it away. This is a great read it gets a certified Nerd Alert A.
